Royal Eastbourne Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the UK. It’s beautiful views over the Sussex Downs, excellent year-round playing conditions and an enviable heritage make it a must play for any golf enthusiast.

Mixed messaging and branding were detracting from these key selling points.

Brief: Update brand identity for all marketing material across web and print, including website, direct mail emails, brochures and advertising.

Solution: Create a strong and cohesive identity using colour, imagery and a new simplified logo. The use of Royal Blue and Silver give the impression of trust and understated elegance, while allowing the predominantly green photography to be the main focus. Overlaying imagery with clean typography, allows for a strong brand message that does not detract from the overall feel of the design.

I was able to gain access to the golf club's archives. These held a wealth of historical documents and imagery. Used sparingly, this material allows the golf club to reference their heritage in a subtle way.
